Today will be an easy day on the meal plan because to make the chilli con carne you simply defrost the minced steak mixture from the freezer which you cooked earlier and add tinned tomatoes, baked beans and chilli powder to taste and cook in a hot oven at first and then turn it down for a while. You serve it with baked potatoes and for dessert have fresh fruit salad.
I find that if I buy a few apples, bananas, kiwi fruits and oranges then I have the basis for serveral desserts (baked apples, baked bananas, bananas and custard, pancake fillings and fruit salad - not to mention just being enjoyed in their natural state). To make the fruit salad I just prepared them, add a little caster sugar and leave for a couple of hours so the sugar draws out the fruit and then I add a little fresh orange juice.If you make plenty of this it is nice for extras for lunch and packed lunches and it will keep in the fridge.
As the weekend approaches you could also make a large cassserole of macoroni cheese. This is nice with coleslaw which I told you about yesterday.
