Here are just a few.
1. Family. Our son and his girlfriend and her little girl came to stay for Christmas and we really enjoyed their company. We had an evening at the theatre to se the children's play "Charlotte's Webb". All ten members of our immediate family where there. Both little girls had had the story read to them and so they loved it. We all had an Italian meal out afterwards.
We also took our grandchildren to the panto to see Peter Pan. I am not usually a lover of pantomimes but this was maybe the best I had seen. Oh, yes it was!!!
2.I enjoyed all the Christmas food. My Christmas cake turned out well.

I cooked a turkey crown, a ham and a duck. We visited friends for a meal, friends visited us. We visited relations. It was fantastic.
3. My Australian side of the family spoke to us on Skype.Wonderful to hear my two sisters and one of my brothers and to see them.
4. Business is going well. We closed down for a few days and opened up earlier than we intended simply because we enjoy it all so much and the New Year has started very positively.
5. We have had coughs and colds over Christmas but, thank goodness, avoided some of the worst bugs going around.
