Food, Fitness, Bravery, Kindness and Thanks!

Reasons to be Cheerful this week.
  •  I have stuck to our healthy eating plan wonderfully (apart from continuing to eat the remains of the Christmas cake- but you can't waste good food, can you).

  •  I started back at the gym after having a flu type thingy and enjoyed a wonderful swim in the outdoor pool at 6.30a.m. It was pitch dark apart from the flood-lit pool and for a while I was the only person in it. It was wonderful. So quiet and peaceful.
  • My grandson has had to have a brace this week and my little grandaughter broke her arm and has to have a plaster cast made but both have been really stoical and not made a fuss at all so we are proud of them. I looked after the two boys while my daughter and husband were at the hospital with our grandaughter. Our 11 year old grandson, without a word, made her a jelly to cheer her up. I thought that was nice of him.
  • We went the extra mile for a customer who is making his own break-front dresser (he is a cabinet maker) and wanted a special order of cutlery to fill specially fitted drawers.  He was so delighted with the trouble we took over his order that he sent us the most wonderful email which made it all worth while.
I hope you had a good week too.
