Trying to Out Do the Kitchen Goddess

Meal planning is down to me again this week.  I had a real break from cooking last year as my husband did it all. He did so well that he will be a hard act to follow. We had home made bread and home made cakes. Gorgeous rice pudding and lots of lovely meals. Now it is my turn. How do I maintain my credibility and supremacy in the kitchen? The man has turned into a veritable kitchen goddess!!! His meals were delicious and he really enjoyed himself whilst I struggled to learn things about the administration side of our business which I did not know.

The only thing I can think of right now is to try and create meals with what is left in the kitchen, the store cupboard and the freezer. I could maybe impress him that way. So here goes:
Monday: pasta with pesto and fresh salmon. Plus broccoli and peas.
Dessert: baked pears with ginger
Tuesday: Home made fish pie (using fish from the freezer). Brussels sprouts, peas.
pancakes with lemon and sugar for dessert
Dessert: pancakes, lemon and sugar

Wednesday: Cheesy pancakes (using the rest of the batter), home made oven chips, peas, tomatoes.
ice cream and forest fruits.
Thursday: Thai vegetable curry, brown rice. Jam sponge and custard
Friday: Tuna with spaghetti and homemade tomato sauce (using tinned tuna), broccoli, frozen mixed vegetables. Dessert: semolina and jam
Saturday:Family coming round  and going to the circus so will probably just have fish and chips.
Sunday: by then I will have to have done some shopping so will probably get a chicken.
Anyway, at least I can say I have been really economical!!! and I have had to use all the left overs!!!
